Set in a 300-acre estate just across the river from Kenmare town, this stunning hotel enjoys a beautiful waterside location, and welcoming fires always burn in the foyer and in several of the spacious, elegantly furnished reception rooms, including a lounge bar area overlooking the tumbling waterfall.

It makes a lovely wedding venue, with several churches to choose from - a small country church 15 minutes away, and two churches in Kenmare town - and wedding blessings are possible here too.

There are three options for wedding receptions here: La Cascade is the fine dining restaurant and is available for weddings, but the bridal party must take over the whole hotel for 2 nights to have La Cascade privately. Oscars Bistro is a more casual venue and can be set with fine dining linen to make it look less informal; there is a room hire fee for Oscars, and you do not have to have the hotel exclusively but a certain number of rooms per night must be taken. Thirdly, for very small weddings, the reception can be held in the Library and the wedding party is only required to only take a couple of rooms at the hotel (details on application).

Any wedding banquet prepared by the kitchen at Sheen Falls is sure to be stunning, and generous touches here include complimentary use of the hotel’s vintage cars, which include a Buick, from the hotel to the church, if local, and a complimentary upgrade for the bride and groom on their wedding night
