Approached by a sweeping entrance, this luxurious guesthouse and restaurant has views of the Atlantic Ocean and is just 200 yards from a beautiful sandy beach, which is ideal for photographs. There are two churches nearby, one a small village church located by the sea with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, and wedding blessings can be arranged here.

There’s an old lodge in there somewhere, and it has been sympathetically extended - a large reception area with matt cream marble floors, mahogany desk, deep purple chaise longue and two huge elephant feet plants make a pleasing first impression on arriving guests, setting the right tone for a country house style venue that is smart, comfortable and spacious throughout.

Wedding receptions are hosted in the Piano Room restaurant: named after its grand piano and music-related artwork, this long room has three fine Waterford crystal chandeliers, a curved wooden ceiling and French doors leading to a large garden. Decorated in warm tones of brick red, creams, yellows and pinks, it is an inviting room, enhanced by immaculate table settings with fine linen, balloon glasses and fresh flowers.

Menus are quite simple in style although the execution is sophisticated, and there is a good choice of wines from an informative list.

Guest accommodation is offered in large, airy bedrooms which have the same sense of style and generosity, with king size four-posters and sumptuous marbled bathrooms with bath and power shower, flat screen TV and stereo.
