The Rectory

In a prime location overlooking Glandore harbour in West Cork, this handsome 19th century residence makes a wonderful wedding venue. There is a choice of churches locally, including a delightful Church of Ireland next door, and wedding blessings may be held on the front lawn, which is also the perfect place for a drinks reception and photographs on a fine day; if the weather is disappointing, the church may be used for family photographs and group shots.

Spacious reception rooms along the front of the house have converted stylishly to make a fine restaurant, linking with the bar and reception area. Flower arrangements throughout the restaurant are supplied, but you are expected to supply table centrepieces to match your colour scheme; a list of florists is supplied along with an exceptionally comprehensive range of local services, including a choice of cake makers, as The Rectory chefs do not provide a wedding cake service - and also houses to let, clergy, horse drawn carriages, vintage cars, mini-bus hire, bands, beauticians, hairdressers, hat suppliers, handmade stationery, photographers, video services, travel agents and much more.

A lot of thought has been put into guests’ needs at this lovely place and, while they may not be able to supply every service themselves, they are certain to be able to direct you to someone who will.
